إن الحمد لله نحمده ونستعينه ونستهديه ونستغفره، ونعوذ بالله من شرور أنفسنا ومن سيئات أعمالنا، من يهده الله فلا مضل له، ومن يضلل فلن تجد له وليا مرشدا، والصلاة والسلام على خاتم الأنبياء والمرسلين سيدنا محمد وعلى آله و صحبه أجمعين
said,"(There are) two words which are dear to the Beneficent (Allah) and very light (easy) for the tongue (to say), but very heavy in weight in the balance.
said:
) whilst he was in the mosque and sat down. He said, ‘O Abu Dharr, did you pray?’ I said, ‘No.’ He said, ‘ Get up and pray.’ So I got up and prayed, then I came and sat down. He said, ‘O Abu Dharr, seek refuge with Allah from the devils of men and jinn.’ I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, are there devils among men?’ He said, ‘Yes.’ I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, what about salaah?’ He said, ‘It is the best, so let whoever wants to, do a little of it and let whoever wants to, do more of it.’ I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, what about fasting?’ He said, ‘It is obligatory and it is good, and the reward with Allah is greater.’ I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, what about sadaqah (charity)?’ He said, ‘Allah multiplies it many times over.’ I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, what (charity) is best?’ He said, ‘What a person gives at times of hardship, or what he gives in secret to a poor person.’ I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, which of the Prophets was first?’ He said, ‘Adam.’ I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, was he a Prophet?’ He said, ‘Yes, a Prophet to whom Allah spoke.’ I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, how many Messengers are there?’ He said. ‘Three hundred and umpteen, a great crowd.’ And once he said, ‘(Three hundred and) fifteen.’ I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, what is the greatest thing that has been revealed to you?’ He said, ‘Aayat al Kursiy, “Allah! Laa ilaaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists…” [al Baraqah 2:255 – interpretation of the meaning].’” (Narrated by al-Nasaa’i).) put me in charge of guarding the zakaah of Ramadaan. Someone came to me and started grabbing handfuls of the food. I took hold of him and said, ‘I will take you to the Messenger of Allah (().’ He said, ‘I will teach you some words by means of which Allah will benefit you.’ I said, ‘What are they?’ He said, ‘When you go to your bed, recite this aayah (interpretation of the meaning): “Allah! Laa ilaaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), Al Hayyul Qayyoom (the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists)…” [al-Baqarah 2:255] – until he completed the aayah. Then Allah will appoint a guard for you who will stay with you and no shaytaan (devil) will come near you until morning.’ The Messenger of Allah (() asked me, ‘What did your prisoner do last night?’ I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, he taught me something, and claimed that Allah would benefit me by it.’ He said, ‘What was it?’ I said, ‘He taught me to recite Aayat al Kursiy when I go to bed, and said that no shaytaan would come near me until morning, and that Allah would appoint a guard for me who would stay with me.’ The Prophet (() said, ‘He told you the truth, although he is an inveterate liar. That was the Shaytaan.’”) said: “Whoever recites Aayat al Kursiy immediately after each prescribed prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering Paradise except death.” This is how it was narrated by al Nasaa’i in al Yawm wa’l Laylah, from al Hasan ibn Bishr. It was also narrated by Ibn Hibbaan in his Saheeh from Muhammad ibn Humayr, who is al Homsi, and is also one of the men of al Bukhaari. The isnaad meets the conditions of al Bukhaari.
) said: “There are seven whom Allah will shade with His shade on the day when there will be no shade but His: a just ruler; a young man who grows up worshipping Allah; a man whose heart is attached to the mosque; two men who love one another for the sake of Allah, meeting and parting on that basis; a man who is called (to commit sin) by a woman of high status and great beauty and he says, ‘I fear Allah’; a man who gives in charity so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand is doing; and a man who remembers Allah when he is alone and his eyes flow with tears.” Narrated by al Bukhaari, 660; Muslim, 1031.
) said: “You will never spend anything, seeking thereby the Countenance of Allah, but you will be rewarded for it, even what you put in your wife’s mouth.” Narrated by al Bukhaari (56) and Muslim (1628).
) addressed us and said: “O people, Allah has enjoined Hajj on you, so perform Hajj.” A man said: “Is it every year, O Messenger of Allah?” He remained silent until (the man) said it three times. Then the Messenger of Allah () said: “If I said yes it would be obligatory and you would not be able to do it.” Then he said: “Be content what I leave with you, for those who came before you were destroyed because they asked too many questions and argued with their Prophets. If I tell you to do something then do as much of it as you can, and if I tell you not to do something then abstain from it.” Narrated by Muslim, 1337.
) said: “(The du3aa’) of any one of you will be answered so long as he is not hasty in seeking a response and does not say, ‘I prayed but I have not had a response.’” Narrated by al Bukhaari, 5981; Muslim, 2735
) said: “It will be said to the companion of the Qur’aan (i.e., the one who memorized and studied it): ‘Read, advance in status and recite as you used to do in the world, for your status will be commensurate with the last aayah that you recite.’”
) said: “Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock. The ruler is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock; the man is the shepherd of his family members and is responsible for them; the woman is the shepherd of her husband’s house and children and is responsible for them; the slave is the shepherd of his master’s wealth and is responsible for it. Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock.”
